Assembly

Welcome to the core of the TNY-360 build process! Whether you are a buyer of the Adventurous Kit (with all 3D parts included) or you are continuing straight from Fabrication, this section is for you.

The objective of this phase is to guide you through the mechanical and electrical assembly of your robot, ensuring everything goes smoothly without any fatal errors.

Take your time, follow the steps carefully, and let's put your quadruped together!


Tools and materials needed

Before we dive into the assembly, make sure you have the following tools and materials ready:

  • A Phillips screwdriver (size PH1 and PH000 or PH00)

Section overview

This guide is structured in 5 main steps :

  • Torso Assembly
    You will assemble the core of the robot, mount the PCBs and wire up all the motors and power components.
  • Head Assembly
    You will assemble the head of the robot, mount the Main PCB and wire up all the visor components.
  • Front-Left Leg Assembly
    You will assemble and mount the front-left leg, including the shoulder, and add the aesthetic covers.
  • Back-Left Leg Assembly
    You will assemble and mount the back-left leg, the same way as the front-left leg.
  • Back-Right Leg Assembly
    You will assemble and mount the back-right leg, the same way as the front-left leg.
  • Front-Right Leg Assembly
    You will assemble and mount the front-right leg, the same way as the front-left leg.
  • Final Assembly
    You will route and secure all the cables inside the chassis, and install the aesthetic covers to give your TNY-360 its final look.
